38 weeks today
we spent the long weekend in ellsworth. dan hunted, and carrie lounged in the sun trying to coax a cold to not come on full throttle. neither of us were successful.
when we arrived wednesday night [with a very loaded car and the dog], my parents seemed disappointed. we soon found out why... they were hoping we'd bring the truck. my dad was like a little kid when he showed us out to the garage where they'd been working on the cradle. we asked back in July if he was wanting to build something for his grandchild. as of two weeks ago he hadn't yet acquired the materials so we weren't too certain that the cradle would be ready when tiger is ready to come out. well, friends, he proved us wrong. i don't know how many hours have been spent on this in the last 2 weeks, but it is Absolutely Gorgeous and the pictures don't do it justice. it's not yet been assembled fully but after 1 or 2 more coats (after the 8 that are already on it) of polyurethane, i dare say it's ready to be. they're going to bring it down with them in their jeep when they come at delivery time. we'll show you more pictures once it's here in GR - in a couple Weeks!
